About us
Founded in Berlin in 2003, we are still working to confirm why HENKELHIEDL has collected over 50 national & international awards over the years. In the meantime we don't care too much about this form of recognition anymore. But all other pillars are similar.
The relationship with our clients is our top priority. Only collaborative work for a product, brand or institution can produce a result that achieves a high level of visibility and withstands today's requirements.
We don't just work for our clients, but work together with them.
Model »Sparring Partner«
The development of a brand within the framework of all communication measures. Many sub-projects require a diverse team that we can provide. The ideas for the tasks come from the clients themselves, us or are developed together.
Model »Extended Workbench«
Support for internal teams of our clients. Often these are topics that require special expertise or a neutral view from the outside. Usually well planned, but also on demand.
Model »Projects«
A task is conceived, designed and implemented by us over a limited period of time. Sometimes there is a kind of maintenance contract (see workbench), not infrequently a follow-up project - and, bang!, we are back to the sparring partner model.
In the end, it's always a project.
No matter whether as part of a larger whole or a self-contained, manageable task... In the founding years, the word »project office« was even still in the company name. And not without reason. The term is still a big deal for us today. It stands for the fact that we turn topics, that occupy and inspire us, into a real project. Commissioned as well as internally out of pure curiosity.
When craft meets brainwork.
All our trades are masters of their disciplines. We are aware of the challenge and responsibility we have towards our customers and their projects. We want to perform, not just get things done.
Accordingly, we question not only our tasks, but also our own actions on a regular basis. What is the vision? Where do we want to go? What is our mission and what can we achieve? Well, why are we doing all this in the first place?
Vision
Evolution is at the core of what we do. We will develop high-quality and socially relevant solutions and projects in a dynamic team, with evolutionary processes and through collaboration with others.
Mission
We want to create projects with value and added value. We invent and develop results with high design standards for customers who value good ideas and solution-oriented consulting.
Purpose
Good things are created through enthusiasm and empathy. We believe that we can be enthusiastically successful if we provide meaningful advice and design with fun, in order to be connective, creative and monetarily profitable for all people involved via the right strategy.
A diverse and innovative office culture is important.
We believe that places are essential building blocks of creativity. At home and in the office. In conversation or on Slack. What unites these spaces? Above all, respectful interaction. Openness. Exchange. Cohesion. This was just as true in the turbulent office environment of the past as it is in times of coronavirus. Spaces must be what everyday working life should be: Opportunities for exchange, creativity and that special moment.
There's always something.
The last major change was the arrival of Uwe Viehmann as a partner and managing director together with Andreas Henkel. Typical for us: evolution as a logical step. Uwe was already Creative Director in the project office from 2012 until 2017 and a so to speak family member. He has a high level of content expertise, we strengthen our creativity and expand our network. So the one dot in front of the name in the logo became a colon. The next big step is also evolutionary: the opening of GE59. An »art-work-space«, not to say gallery. Sounds unusual, but is »henkelhiedelig« precisely for that reason. This idea was born out of personal passions and also because nowadays, more than ever, an office should be a special place. A place of inspiration. And what is more inspiring than art?
