Diversity for Berlin
The requirements for the project, established by the Senate Department for Culture and Europe, were based on the consideration of accessibility and the development of an appealing design. A tricky matter that has its charm.
Diversity Arts Culture has the mission to strengthen diversity in the cultural sector, i.e. to create equal access opportunities for all people to art and culture and to reduce discrimination in the cultural sector.
We discussed the degree of accessibility intensively with the client, which measures are indispensable and where we have room for manoeuvre.
Deal with precise specifications and constraints in concept and design– Large typo. Large content. Good overview – as well as setting up an activating and interesting website is a game of skill.
The heart of the site is the dictionary for basic linguistic work in diversity development. And here, we encountered a barrier too: a list. Perceived in the common sense as boring, against the actual purpose as confusing, and unsexy collection of content.
But our aspiration is to make lists look hip and cool too!
