For Berlin's culture
The new website of the Hauptstadtkulturfonds (Capital Cultural Fund) makes you want to apply for funding for high-quality projects.
The Hauptstadtkulturfonds (HKF) supports cultural projects and events in almost all artistic fields as well as inter- and transdisciplinary projects. Based at the Senate Department for Culture and Europe, it is jointly funded by the federal government and the state of Berlin.
On the basis of PimCore, we implemented a new website that clearly explains who can apply when, how and for what. Particularly important was a form area for uploading already funded projects and a barrier-free implementation. Another wish was that the website should be as easy as possible for the editors to use in the future.
In order not to compete visually with individual artistic disciplines, but to address artists as a target group, we worked with abstract animations. In addition to the main content pages, we designed a light language version and the whole site can be switched to dark mode. We also wrote the texts and created infographics for a varied, easy-to-understand content, as well as entering all the content – in other words, a project in which we were allowed to implement all relaunch phases ourselves, which led to good and efficient project communication.
