PowerPoint at its best
New templates now enable the renowned architectural office Heinle, Wischer und Partner to make even more convincing presentations.
We were happy to take on responsibility for the conception and creation of the new PowerPoint templates for the large architectural firm Heinle, Wischer und Partner. The architects give so many presentations, which are crucial for acquisition, that really well-designed and thought-out templates are indispensable.
Our goal was to come up with a master presentation that was far removed from the standard PowerPoint design. Like the CD from Heinle, Wischer und Partner, it should look very clear and straightforward. We also think it is important that the appearance of the slides is as homogeneous as possible and yet can be used flexibly and in a variety of ways.
One film – many variants
In March 2017, the project started with a joint workshop to define the goals and brainstorm some ideas. In the course of two days, it turned out that the desire for general tips on how to give and prepare presentations took priority over a joint creation process. So we spontaneously changed the workshop orientation and then worked out the concept on our own. With very good feedback.
Diagrams – clear and focused
The ready-made presentation package contains fixed theme slides – e.g. for a company presentation – and templates for different contents: Organisational chart, diagram, little text, more text, text and image in several combinations. There are also suggestions on where and how to use animations.
The Basics
The templates are preceded by an introduction to the various stylistic devices and guidelines. The fixed mark-up elements for copying out are particularly practical. The design principles are the clear, uncluttered structure, the use of white on black for the diagrams and the clear punctual mark-ups. The typical PowerPoint shading is not to be found here. Fortunately.
We developed the slides between April and June, and even the non-final version was so good that it was used live. In September, we held a PowerPoint training session for all those responsible so that the templates could develop their full potential. Now we wish HWP a lot of fun with the new set and much success in giving presentations!
