150 Years of Hamburg Süd
In cooperation with Uniplan, the »Agency for Brand Experiences«, we realised a historical project: A microsite for the 150th birthday of one of the world's former largest shipping companies.
The Hamburg Süd shipping company celebrated its 150th anniversary at the beginning of November 2021. To mark the occasion, we designed a multimedia journey through the company's history in five chapters.
The horizontal navigation is like walking through an exhibition. Visitors encounter historical documents, postcards, photos, film and audio documents. Short texts explain the eventful history of the company, which was founded as a specialist for South American traffic and was one of the ten largest shipping companies in the world before it was taken over by the Maersk Group.
We took over the editing, design and implementation. For the editor and the designer it was a great pleasure to go through the company archive - and something completely different.
When the microsite was launched exactly on the 150th birthday and the project ended, a breeze of melancholy blew through our Kreuzberg office. Ahoy, Uniplan! And off to new horizons!
